Arimalam Mudhiyor Nalvazhu Agam (AMN)

Founded in 2006 by Late Mr. Subramanian Valliappan (Arikkan House, Arimalam), father of Mr. Venkat Subramanian, founding member of SNV Foundation, AMN focuses on providing seniors security for food and healthcare. AMN is a registered non-profit organization in India.

For Last Six decades India experienced a dramatic change in health care and medical sciences that increased the average life span from 28 years in 1947 to 68 years in 2021. This has introduced some new social problems such as providing medical, mental, emotional and financial support for elderly people above 60 years of age. After retirement people tend to face mental depression, health related issues, lack of affection and support from children and relatives and financial constraints for taking care of their basic needs.

Hence, a home for these elderly people to live peacefully with security for food and health care has become a necessity. Realizing the above, Mr. Subramanian founded “Arimalam Mudiyor Nalvazhu Agam (AMN) in Arimalam, Tamil Nadu, India.

Today AMN provides daily breakfast, lunch, evening tea / snacks, and dinner to over 40 seniors.
